If a tooth has been knocked out, pick it up by the crown — not the root — and gently rinse it if it’s dirty. If you can, place it back in the socket and hold it there, or keep it tucked in a little milk until you reach us.
For a broken tooth, rinse with warm water and use a cold compress on the outside of your cheek to ease swelling. For pain, an over-the-counter pain reliever can help in the meantime.
For anything life-threatening — trouble breathing or swallowing, a serious facial injury, or bleeding that won’t stop — call 911 or go to the emergency room. For tooth pain, broken teeth, and swelling, calling a dentist first is usually the faster way to the right care.
We’re in-network with several insurance plans, and each plan has its own fee schedule. What you pay depends on your plan and the treatment you need. We’ll go over the cost with you before you start. If we’re not in your network, we’re still happy to see you, and we’ll file the claim if your plan has out-of-network benefits.
